The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) today released its draft national research priorities and agenda , which will set the framework for initial investments in comparative effectiveness research (CER). Town Hall on Quality Measures UseNPC hosted a member-only town hall on May 5, 2011, 2011 on implications and opportunities in Quality Measures Use. The town hall was co-hosted by Johnson & Johnson. What Will They Do?Employers represent an important segment of health care purchasers, providing health insurance coverage to two-thirds of the U.S. population and funding 40% of prescription drug spending. The survey finds that most employers are aware of CER and believe that findings from such research will help them to improve their health benefits decision making.
